Our Christmas Holiday was amazing and wonderful in every way. We just spent so much time with the family so it was awesome. I hope everyone else had a wonderful and safe Christmas as well. I will just post a bunch of pictures to tell our Christmas Story!

FIRST BIG SNOW DAY!

A great big SNOWIE day! After driving in the blizzard to pick up Kelton from school and then Kelton and I trying to make the trek back home was quite eventful. It took us 3 and a half hours to get home!!! It is a long story and very bonding in the stop and go traffic together for 3 hours. We played hang man, rock-paper-sizzors, practiced counting by 2's and 3's and sang Christmas songs. WHEW! Since Kelton got out of school at 12:40 and we were pushing 4:30pm we were just hoping to at least get home in time for him to play in this dang snow that caused us so much trouble. We barely made it and after sitting in the car that long I still rushed inside to get all the kids in their snow attire and they headed out for all of 10 minutes, LOL. I got some cute pictures of it anyways...and this is really Gracie's first time putting on a pair of snow bibs and boots. SO CUTE!

GETTING READY
LOOK HOW TINY SHE LOOKS! I KNOW I WILL LOVE THAT I TOOK THIS IN 5 YEARS.

THE BOYS BEING WELL...BOYS!

THESE ARE SO CUTE AND FOR SOME REASON TURNED OUT FUZZY :(

Graice Update...

Gracie is growing up so fast and is doing so many new things everyday. She has just been blowing me away lately though with the things she says. Gracie is such a good talker. She will talk in sentences like "no thank you mama, I dont want it." She loves, loves, loves to count. She can count from 1 to 10 and she always is lining things up to count. She sings so many different songs but her favorite right now is Tinkle Tinkle Little Star! I tried to get her to sing it on video but she wouldn't do it. Hopefully I can catch her one of these days and I will post it. She sings Frosty the snowman, her ABC's song, Jingle Bells! She loves babies...I know I know what girl doesn't love babies! She is just so cute with them though. Dont under-estimate her...she loves her brother's guns, lego's, swords, knifes, cars, ect. One day she kept coming up to me with a dagger saying yah yah, I will get you mama. Max was laughing so hard. She is definitely a little tomboy. She just amazes me everyday!

Happy Birthday Dylan!

The Philpot's visit Santa!

We had my niece's birthday party on Saturday and Santa happened to be there! So we did the whole try to put a 20 month old on Santa's lap but she wasn't having it. Kelton did good and smiled regardless of his sister kicking and screaming...so mom jumped in to see if that would help and then dad said well if those three are in it I mine as well hop in too! Yes can we all say we are the dorkiest family you have ever met! So here is a few pics from our day.

We all jump in to sit with Santa, we are such dorks I swear!

Philpot Family Update!

So I dont really know why I haven't had the motivation all of the sudden to blog, I think it is just a mixture of things. First of all I have to say with me not blogging I am getting far more done around the house, LOL. But I decided I should do an update anyways so here it goes!
Thanksgiving- our Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful. We spent the morning watching the Macy's Day parade on T.V. which I love doing because it is something I always used to do with my dad. Then we headed out to Max's parents for the big gathering. With 12 of us siblings and spouses, mom, dad and 13 nieces and nephews it is always eventful. We ate great food and talked and the kids ran around like crazy. Then we ended the night letting ALL of the kids have a sleepover at Uncle Jerry's and Aunt Hannah's house (bless their hearts). It was so nice and one of my favorite holidays every year because it is all about being with family!
Other than that I have just been getting ready for Christmas. I am so happy that I can say I am completely done and ready to go! Which is so nice because I can actually just sit back and enjoy the holiday with no stress. This is also because I started in August :)
So to bring us current Max and I decided that we needed to have a girls slumber party with our nieces because they are so awesome and we always only have the boys. So we had 7 girls over here including Gracie and then Max and Kelton. It was so funny because Kelton was all about Dad and him being downstairs doing boy stuff and that they were not going to come near the girls...sure enough during dinner Kelton gets talking with them and having fun and didn't leave their sides all night! It was cute because Kelt and dad went downstairs to watch a "boy movie" and us girls were putting one in and Max wonders upstairs and whispers to me that Kelt really wants to come up and watch with the girls but he didn't want me to tease him! LOL He is so cute. We made Christmas cookies and then I gave all the girls full pedicures. I mean soak their feet, scrub them, massage them, cut their nails, and paint them. Can we say Aunt of the year award? I can!

My Adorable Princess!

Best Friends! These two are obsessed with each other. They are only a month apart and see each other everyday. They are going to grow up being sisters!

Our Christmas Cookie mess! I had to show what a mess I let the girls make, LOL. Do they make Aunt of the year awards?

The boys downstairs in their man cave...before they decided it wasn't much fun without us girls.
My BEAUTIFUL nieces with there cookies.
Lila Lynn getting her pedicure. Full on pedicures I tell you :)
My beautiful work of art...LOL. Kind of pretty
Off to bed! With two huge air mattress's on the floor we are all set.

I have to say it again...I picked a good one!

So the date that went along with my flowers was a surprise date to the Hale Center Theater! We went to the musical "Into the Woods." I am a sucker for these things and Max does not like musical ANYTHING! So for him to pull this off and surprise me like this was amazing. What makes it even better is that the Hale Center is one of his accounts and because he does such an awesome job for them, they gave him our tickets for free! I was so proud of him. I posted a little clip off of You Tube below but if you ask me the actors at the Hale Center did way better than the ones in the clip. This musical is witty and funny. It was so good. If you have time to go see it before it ends on the 29th of this month you should! Another one of my favorites is the Christmas Carol that they put on. Amazing as well!

HE IS THE BEST!

Gracie's flowers

So yesterday I wasn't having a very good day and around 5pm at night someone knocks at the door with a delivery of flowers in their hands. They said I have flowers for Gracie and Lindsay, I was thinking did someone pass away and I didn't know about it yet(this is how my mind works, how sad). So anyways, the little note to Gracie says " Daddy loves you so much princess, and you have a date with Grandma on Saturday night." Yes I am keeping the note forever...it is her first delievery of flowers and even more important they are from her daddy. Then my note says all these wonderful things and then asks me if I will go on a date with him this weekend. It was very cute, so sweet, and had me bawling. I LOVE MY HUBBY SO MUCH!

I just cant do it ;(

Ok so obviously I am having a hard time hitting the delete button on this thing. So I decided I will just go private and see how that goes. So leave me your email address if you want to view my blog and I will change it tonight. I am such a dork I swear!

ALL THE WASH IS DONE?

Well nothing that exciting has been going on in this household this last week. Is that a good or bad thing? I am going to say good because this family usually has it's share of chaos! So the best news I have for this week is that as of right now....ALL MY LAUNDRY IS DONE! I seriously cant believe it. I think I have maybe had all the wash done only one other time in 6 years. I am talking our hamper, both the kids hampers are empty. Blankets, bedding and towels are all done. Whew! This is the best feeling ever! It wont last but a few hours I am sure, LOL.
I must add that this isn't the first time because I am lazy and dont do the wash! I think I have the washer going almost 24 hours a day everyday. For a family of 4 that is way too much. I just dont get it :)

And then there was LIGHT...this is a pretty good story!

Ok for most of you who read this will be like why is she posting about new light fixtures, LOL. Well, the story goes like this. When we started building our house we got to customize the lighting and add lights in rooms where we felt like they need more lighting, ect. Well at the very last minute a house came available in a much better location across the street from the lake. So with major convincing from my husband we made the switch and said goodbye to all of our custom choices because the house was basically done. I got to pick the railing, paint, and fireplace...hmmm yup that is about it.

So of course this house had one tiny tiny light for this big great room. It seriously was so dim in the majority of our house it was ridiculous. So our project this year was to put a bunch of can lights up in the ceiling. Well, I found an amazing chandelier and convinced my hubby that this was the way to go. So we installed everything today and it is absolutely amazing! I am just so excited about it. It add's so much to the house and the light oh my heck there is light! Even our paint on the walls look like a completely different color.

So the funny thing about this is that for 3 years Max, me and Kelton have complained about how dim the great room was....so we turn on this chandelier and Max literally grabs for a dimmer to turn it down. WE ARE VAMPIRES I TELL YOU! So I guess we need to readjust to this light that we have so badly wanted. It is amazing though, I am in 7th heaven!

BEFORE

AFTER!!! You probably cant tell but it is such a big difference! We added the two lights dangling over the island. Those were can lights before. That is probably my favorite change!

And who said you cant put a chandelier in your living room? LOLBEFORE

Best picture I could get of this one. Everyone really just needs to drive out and see it in person but I know most of you wont so this is the best you are going to get :)

To my amazing husband who put every single fixture in for me today with only pouting a few times :)

It's a PHILPOT Halloween!

We don't have a Philpot holiday the right way unless Kelton gets sick. I swear that boy hits it everytime. Last Christmas Eve we were in the clinic with him by 7 am and this Halloween I was rushing out antibiotics to him at 1pm on Halloween day so hopefully they would kick in before it was time. Yeah so we didn't make it in time. Poor little man didn't end up coming out here to trick or treat and just stayed home with him mom sick instead. We missed him so much! We did have fun with Gracie though and we got Kelton in the morning and of course he was back to 100% himself. GO FIGURE!
I hope everyone had a great HALLOWEEN!

The Fam minus Kelt. I am holding Gracie's doll dressed up in a elmo costume!

The Philpot clan minus quite a few. We consist of 24 people so this is a small section of us! My nieces and nephews are so cute and adorable though.

And then there was her Granna the troll!

Daddy's Girl

Mom gets stuck with holding all the stuff as usual!

My cutest friend and neighbor, Lauren, and her dog PUPCAKE aka Toto. I dont know how to spell that but you know what I mean. Dorothy and her dog :)

My sister in law JILL...she is so cute to dress up. This is her dream job to be a coffee girl, LOL>
Finally at the end of the night Gracie got to get some pictures with her cousin Kaitlyn but Gracie just calls her Boo. They are the best of friends and obviously were to worried about playing to look at the camera. We took a picture of the suckers they had opened at the end of the night and there were like 10 opened suckers with one or two licks off of them. Those stinkers.
