My Typical TWO Year Old!

So I took Gracie out by myself to my favorite picture taking spot. This is the spot that I did my bridals, engagements, Philpot family pictures, ect! Today was special for me taking Gracie out here because I can remember the picture of Max kissing my belly when I was all of 5 weeks pregnant. Now here I was with my almost 2 year old in tow. So I get Gracie all excited to take some pictures...well come to find out Gracie doesn't like to look at the camera that much. Sooooo most of my pictures are of her hair or her back, LOL. Typical Two year old I guess. She is not really the type to lay out on the sand and pose and say snap the picture mom....she is more of the type to say I am busy playing in this sand mom leave me alone! So all in all I still LOVE the little snap shots I took of my Amazing Grace. In the end her brother tells me "why dont you just take her somewhere boring next time, so she will look at you and not everything else!"

The kids things say and do, I SWEAR!

The cute little things she does...

Gracie with Mommie:

Mommie: Gracie we have your new big girl princess panties that you have been asking for. We don't pee pee in these panties. You go pee pee in the potty with these.
Gracie: Ok Mommie.
Mommie: Gracie why did you pee pee in your big girl panties? I guess we will have to go back to wearing a diaper like a baby. See your baby wears a diaper and mommie wears big girl panties. (mom showing gracie her underwear)
Gracie: Oh Tute...You are funny mom!

*she totally understands the concept and she is getting a kick out of me. The little stinker.

Gracie with Daddy:
Gracie: Daddy posie gracie.
Daddy: HU?
Mommie: interprets for daddy that she wants to do ring around the rosies.
Gracie: Daddy posie and ashes with me please.
Daddy: ok....
Daddy: 10 rosies later, daddy is all done and says Gracie lets do something else.
Gracie: Daddy posie with me please (her big blue eyes just batting at him)
Daddy: FINE!

I crack up at how wrapped around her finger she has him. He was literally sweating from going round and round and falling down and back up again! LOL

Gracie Lynn dances with her daddy every night. This time dad is sitting out but Gracie still shows their moves!

Our Amazing Grace

This is after Gracie rubbed her yogurt all in her hair like gel. We thought it actually turned out kind of pretty and she was sooooo proud of herself.

YEAH Gracie!
Getting ready with mama in daddies sink...and using daddies toothbrush. Shhhh we wont tell!

Um just to add...Max freaks out if anyone else uses his toothbrush. He is going to kill his girlers!

My sick little Girl! Long story I know but it has been a rough ride.

So Gracie Lynn must have her dad's gene's in the getting sick department. We have had such a rough past couple of months. It all started about 2 weeks before Halloween. Gracie got strep throat. So she gets on the meds and a week later brother has strep. So we get him on the meds. From there on out so far Kelt has stayed away from getting sick! So anyways a week after Gracie is finished with her antibiotic she starts getting the strep throat rash on her belly again. (fyi: Kelton got strep all the time when he was gracie's age and never got a rash with it, but she does and to find out that it is common when they have strep). So I take her in and yep she has it again. So here goes another antibiotic. So she is done with this one and like 4 days later is still sick such a bad cold and cough. I seriously wasn't even taking this girl out of the house. When I let her go out in the snow it was for 2 minutes for pictures seriously, errrghh. So take her in to the doctor again and she now has ear infections and strep. So she gets on antibiotics again. 5 days after she is done with those ones (these are like 10 day courses of antibiotics, so we are talking like 2 months of this) I take her to the ear nose and throat doctor. He says she needs her tonsils out because they are huge and she has had strep 3 times in a month and a half...but she also has a severe ear infection. SERIOUSLY I AM A FAILURE AS A MOTHER AT THIS POINT. How in the heck can she possibly catch anything with the stuff she has been on. So yep another antibiotic and at this point I go to the health food store and buy $100 worth of natural stuff to get her better. So I take her back to the peditrician after the last course and yep severe severe ear infection. So she had to get a shot of antibiotics for 3 days in a row. 1 per day was complete hell I tell you. So I take her back last Monday and she still has the ear infection but we are just going to watch it. NO MORE ANTIBIOTICS. She is seriously going to be immune to them at this point.
As for the tonsils getting out the ENT doc says to me she needs to be healthy for 2 weeks before we can schedule. Well I told him I would see him in a year!
Seriously I cant help but think what am I doing wrong? I just feel so bad for her. She still dances and is a ham and the cutest thing ever though. I will post a video of her dancing like Tinkerbell but the cough is basically all you hear!

A Stansbury New Year's Eve!

Ok so the 4th of July, 24th of July and New Year's in Stansbury are pretty awesome. We always have amazing fireworks over the lake and everyone hangs out on their beaches and bbq's. Well for New Year's everyone on the lake does bon fires on the ice and kids are ice skating on the lake. It is so cool to see. We dont live on hte lake but we live right by the public access just across the street so we walked down to go do some fireworks on the frozen lake at midnight. It was so much fun, very cold, but fun! You honestly think ok is it really midnight because we are all out ice skating doing fireworks and hanging out on a frozen lake...kind of fun!

Heading down to the lake.

Not a great picture but the only one I got of myself! I was cold I tell you, LOL.
