I love love love doing crafts. If I could just do crafts all day long I would :) So I go through phases where I let the house get dirty, laundry piled up and I just craft away for a week to get it out of my system :) So here are a few things I did...
I went and got sticks out of the field behind my house, bought a bag of spanish moss at JoAnns for $2. The birds, skulls, and grey mesh were all $1 at the dollar store. It is fun at night when the candles are on and its dark. Very spooky :) Then of course we have our Halloween Tree. Yes it is a little weird for Halloween but with the orange lights on it, the kids love it. So why not.
Book Wreath
My sister in law turned me onto this idea. I seriously love this wreath. Wreaths are so expensive in the store and I love to switch out wreaths for different seasons/ holidays. So I bought an old book from the DI. I spray painted the edges of the paper while in the book. I did brown but you can do any color you want. My sister in law did lime green! Then you rip the pages out. Fold them and hot glue them in with the ripped edges on the outside. I still need to hang it with a big ribbon bow but haven't gotten to that yet :)
These are literally made with a wire hanger, tissue paper and some good ole hot glue :) I did some pastel pink ones for Faith's room. They dont look like tissue paper at all. They are full and almost look like flowers. These are so easy to do! I need to scootch both wreaths in a little on each side of the picture because they are too far away I think, but that is a hubby job and who knows when that will happen :)
The lady who I copied did a bigger one with White tissue paper for a spring wreath for the front door and I seriously love it. I will definitely be making one next spring.
