83 Pics for an update on the Philpots....I think I am liking to take pics again :)

4th of July

This picture is totally Kelton when he was this age....so cute

This is the girls favorite time of the day, when daddy gets home and tickles, wrestles, and plays with them.

 OSCAR
Oscar what would I do without you, seriously! What am I going to do without you....This was Max's dog and as soon as he met my mom the two were inseperable.  So she pretty much stole my husbands dog :) Oscar never left her side, to the very end.  Now he wont leave my side.  I know my mom told him to look after me.  He is 13 years old, and has tons of medical problems.  Needless to say I have been so selfish in wanting to keep him here, because it is the last piece of my mom I have.  Other than my sister of course.  So we drag Oscar around the house on his bed because now he can barely walk.  So we are going to be putting him down in the next couple weeks, and we wanted to get some pictures with him.

Granna's Cabin....
This cabin my mom bought 6 years ago for Kelton and future grandchildren.  She had an awesome backyard and it set back in her bushes, so it looked like a real cabin.  We had to say goodbye to my mom and our HOME of 28 years....but we did take all the special things with us and we put it in our yard just like granna had it.  We tore out bushes and everything :0

She's not a dancer at all.... :)

LAVA
This year has had many first time holidays, trips ect without my mom.  I hate all of it.  We didn't ever go on a trip without her.  We had been to lava for the last 8 years and every year she would come with us.  We weren't going to go, but the kids wanted to so badly.  I knew that my moms memory would be all over lava, and I didn't know if I was ready for that.  So I cried ALOT, more than I have ever cried.  I hated my kids seeing me that way, I try never to be sad around them but I couldn't help it.  It was healing at the sametime though.  We had so much fun like we always did, and it was a good thing that it reminds us so much of her.  She is still with us.  We take a picture on this bridge every year so we can see how our family grows and changes.  So here we are....

Jumping off the second level

GRACIE WENT DOWN THE RIVER FOR THE FIRST TIME AND LOVED IT!!!
They even crashed...she is just like her Granna.

Max, Kelton and Granna in 2009 going down the river...and in 2012, Grace took the place of Granna.

The boys take care of their girls....Kelt is such a good big brother.

Watch out Lava the Philpots have arrived!

Gracie's little team, these girls are best friends.  That is the main reason why I have Grace in dance.  I love it.

Ok my 5 year old rode the Colosus at Lagoon and Loved it.  She is sooooo much like my mom.

Dance, Dance & Dance some more...

So this spring we have been so busy with our little dancer. After evrything in December, and her missing almost all month of practices, I thought how am I going to drag myself out of bed or the house to get her to practice and competitions ect. But, bottom line was that even if I didn't feel like it, she committed and worked so hard up this point and competition season was just around the corner. So I bucked up and in the end all though it has been so much work and sooooo many competitions taking up most of our weekends, it is well worth it to see how happy it makes her and how can you not be happy and smile when you see this cute lil thing dance. :)

So back to not wanting to take pictures...Gracie's very first solo competition, I didn't even take a picture of her! So I only have pictures from the last two competitions but the one positive is that at least I am starting to want to take pictures again....:)

Gracie competes in her solo with 6-8 year olds and she just turned 5. Everytime she has went on stage I am so proud her because she surpirses everyone and just turns it up 10 notches and is the biggest ham ever. She does her dance all by herself with no help and finishes everytime with a big smile. That is all I could ask for. She absolutely LOVES it. Which can be a good and bad thing. Great that she found smething she loves and that she works so hard for. And bad for me and dad because it is one pricey passion :) This solo business isn't cheap :)

I also entered in a photo of Gracie's at one of the competitions and she won OverAll cover girl and was on the cover of the program!
