A few blonde moments in the last week!

I really hate to admit these dumb blonde moments that have been happening but when I find myself driving in the car and I start laughing out loud by myself...then I figured I better share them.
Dumb Blonde act #1...I wrote a little poem about Gracie turning 2. I am having a "Tea Party B-day Party" for her with her little girlfriends. I am not inviting the usual 60 people that come to Kelton's bday because I wanted to go all out for the girls. Sooooo I thought up this great idea to send a picture and a copy of the poem to people who aren't coming to the party. Then I thought I never sent out an annoucement that Gracie was born so this will be kind of like that. NOPE! You dont even know how many people have called me and even Max saying "I got Gracie's invitation but there isn't any info about the party on there?"
NOTE TO SELF: Dont send out annoucements when your child is 2!
So I am posting the poem below...I thought it was creative and explained itself, but I guess not. On to the next blonde moment...
It goes something like this:
Gracie Lynn is turning 2.
We found ourselves asking "Gracie Who?"
Who has this little one become
since the day she turned ONE.
Her vocabulary is a year ahead of her time.
This is what makes her shine.
She is an entertainer in any crowd. Loves for all
eye's and ears to be fixed on her from all around.
Her favorite time is when she dances
with the music turned up loud
she has her daddy's passion.
She loves to be tickeled like her mama
In the day or in the night.
Her daddy now has two girls to fight.
She is stubborn, strong willed and full of energy.
She definitely gives her brother
a run for his money.
She loves to sing songs at the top of her lungs.
This one is not quiet nor shy.
She makes poor brother run and hide.
Then there are the hugs and nite nite's
Mommie, Daddy, and Brother wait for...
Because there is nothing more that one could ask for.
She is sometimes called our little monster but
with one look at those big blue eye's
We tend to falter.
With Minnie Mouse and the crew that is in tow
where ever this little princess goes.
What Gracie will do next...no one knows!
Gracie Lynn is turning 2...
We thought we would share a little bit about her
With You!

Dumb Blonde Act #2: So if any of you know me you know I love to paint. I love to paint, paint, and paint some more! YIKES! Yes we all remember my while you were out paint the bedroom furniture. So our house was built 3 years ago and our front door is getting a little rugged with all of my wreaths banging against it. Soooo I mention to Max that we should paint the front door. He says of course we definitely need to do that. He was meaning in the spring but didn't say that. So Gracie is sleeping the other day and I decide I will go see what paint I have downstairs and paint the door black. It was originally brown. Well not just paint but spray paint. So I mask it off and start spraying and the spray can freezes up. I am looking at the paint and thinking why is that drying so funny. So I go in the house and think I will go to home depot ask them some tips and fix it before Max gets home. No joke Max walks in 20 minutes later, home EARLY from work. Let's just say he was not a happy camper and to find out you cant paint anything under 55 degree's or it wont set right. Definitely dont spray paint! LOL So now we cant fix our door for a couple months and it looks AWEFUL! So bad I am not even going to take a picture. LOL

So needless to say all my spray paint got taken away!

Thank you LAUREN!

Gracie goes Pooh Pooh in the potty...and some other stuff she has been up too this week.

So I bought Gracie this DVD to get her going on the potty training. Well it is an awesome DVD she absolutely loves it. She always asks to watch it and it is so funny the way the talk and sing about pooh pooh and pee pee. So all the sudden yesterday she is on her potty pushing and pushing for 20 minutes and I kept telling her you will get your princess couch if you pooh pooh in the potty. SO YEAH! SHE DID IT! Then afterwards she was running around crying saying messy mommie messy, LOL. So now I made her an elmo potty chart and she has a sticker in the pooh box. The challenge now is getting her to do it again, uugghhhh.

So here she is in her Princess couch/bed that she got for doing it. She wont get off of it since she got it so I couldn't get a better picture.

Gracie loves to pretend to make dinner for her and Daisy when I am making dinner.

She is starting to love the cowgirl boots. I love the way she is standing in this picture. Notice that her clothes are inside out as well. She is little miss independant and has to dress herself and pick out her clothes. She did a pretty good job on the matching on this one!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOO!

Gracie's best friend and cousin Boo aka Kaitlyn turned 2 yesterday. Gracie made her a card with finger paints. Then Boo got twin baby dolls which really worked out for these 2 two year olds since they fight over everything they both got to play with one. Thanks to Boo for sharing her new toy!

Where did I take Gracie's pictures?

So I have had a lot of people ask me where I took Gracie's pictures at. It wasn't quite all the way out at the salt flats but half way there. It is actually just a spot that Mandi and I stumpled apon on our way out to find the salt flats. If anyone wants to know exactly I can give you the coordinates since I logged it into my GPS when we were there last. The cool thing about it is that when it is warmer it is exactly like the Salt Flats where it is salt under your feet for miles. Then when it is colder the water fills up and a beach sorta forms around the puddle of water, then with the moutains in the background it is awesome. So it is about 28 minutes west of my house in Stansbury! There are also these railroad tracks that are 5 minutes from this spot too that are awesome because the background is just the sky with the way they sit. I will post two pictures showing the diff in the warm weather and cold weather. Both of them are so beautiful. This is July. The kids are running on the hard salt surface. It looks like ice though, so neat!. This is January. Gracie is looking out towards the same spot that the kids were running across the salt. I think all the salt settles to the bottom of the puddle of water because the beach is real sand. The way nature works I tell you.

FOR THOSE PREGNANT WOMEN WHO GET REALLY BAD NAUSEA...MY SECRET CURE!

So I always hear of our sweet family and friends who get prego and then are complaining about the sickness all the time. I had the same thing with my pregnancy but my doctor wrote me a prescription for a miracle drug. I always bring it up to people I talk to and none of these ladies have ever heard of it. So I thought I would share exactly what my doctor prescribed to me so you can check into it if you are having the sickness as well.
I swear to you I had this medication connected at my hip. We didn't leave home without it!
So it is made at Jolley's Pharmacy. They have pharmacist that compound medications special to each patient. So this little bit of a miracle drug I had was put together by Jolley's Pharmacy. It is two ingredients put into a capsule. So I will list the ingredients below and contact your doctor about it if you are in need of something. I seriously will say it was so much better than zofran or anything else they give to you.
pyridoxine
and
doxylamine
HOPE THIS HELPS!

A Week in Review

*A WEEK IN REVIEW FOR THE PHILPOT FAMILY*

GRACIE GOES SWIMMING FOR SOME DADDY DAUGHTER TIME!

Daddy took Gracie to an indoor swimming pool for some quality time together. She was so excited when we put on her swimsuit and she had to put on daddy's slippers for the photo :) They had so much fun and she eats up any time that she gets with her daddy since he works so much!
LINDSAY REFINISHES KELTON'S ROCKING CHAIR FOR GRACIE
After Picture.
I sanded the whole thing down the best I could and then I re-painted it. Sanded down the edges to make it look antique. Then I stained it and then I glazed it. WHEW! I think it is cute. I didn't want anything to girly so I didn't want to paint it pink. I think it turned out great though. I was going to put her name on it on the top but Max thinks it looks good like this. So I better listen to my hubby on that one. Stop before I take it too far!
This chair is special because Max's grandpa Ed gave this to Kelton when Kelton was a baby. Kelton loved it and now Gracie is enjoying it. Fun Stuff!

Before picture.

I didn't take one of just the rocking chair. So we have this rocker picture of our daughter being crazy infront of the rocking chair. The only pic I could find that had the whole rocking chair in it! LOL

THE BOYS GO ICE FISHING...AGAIN

Good Job Boys!

GRACIE LOVES HER COWGIRL BOOTS

Graice put these on and Max was asking the other day if she ever wears her cowgirl boots...so I thought I would take a picture so I could say yes! LOL She never wears them...makes me sad:( I wish she would wear them more. She looks funny though and put them on all by herself.

My Typical TWO Year Old!

So I took Gracie out by myself to my favorite picture taking spot. This is the spot that I did my bridals, engagements, Philpot family pictures, ect! Today was special for me taking Gracie out here because I can remember the picture of Max kissing my belly when I was all of 5 weeks pregnant. Now here I was with my almost 2 year old in tow. So I get Gracie all excited to take some pictures...well come to find out Gracie doesn't like to look at the camera that much. Sooooo most of my pictures are of her hair or her back, LOL. Typical Two year old I guess. She is not really the type to lay out on the sand and pose and say snap the picture mom....she is more of the type to say I am busy playing in this sand mom leave me alone! So all in all I still LOVE the little snap shots I took of my Amazing Grace. In the end her brother tells me "why dont you just take her somewhere boring next time, so she will look at you and not everything else!"

The kids things say and do, I SWEAR!
