Our Little trip to the ER...my poor hubby

So we all know our life is never dull...as always we pulled through this weekend.
So the story goes...
On Friday night Max was getting ready to take Kelton bow hunting. Kelton was at the first Stansbury High football game (yes we have our very own High School, so exciting). Gracie had been doing so good that day and going potty like a big girl. I was getting her ready for bed and she tells me she has to go pee. So we go running into the bathroom and she starts to go...so I naturally start yelling for Max to come watch because he hadn't seen her do it yet. Well, in Max's words, I was screaming bloody murder. In my defense, peeing in the potty is a very exciting thing you know? Anyways, Max thinks something is wrong and he is downstairs so he starts running to come upstairs. Well I just put out a lovely new bamboo rug at the door at the bottom of the stairs...my lovely husband slips on the rug when he is running and runs into the door putting a huge hole into it. Then falls down. I hear him screaming that he broke is arm. So I leave Gracie on the potty and run down and there is blood EVERYWHERE! So this is where we get to the 3rd strike on myself. STRIKE 1:screaming bloody murder, STRIKE 2: putting the bamboo rug down, STRIKE 3: freaking out in a stressful situation. I couldn't stand the site of that much blood and I thought Max's bone was sticking out so I freaked out...I ran around in circles or did a chicken dance as Max called it. Then I picked up his phone and threw it? I Cant say I know why I did that either. Then I ran around the house screaming. So Kelton walks in and I go running outside to track down my brother in law to help me and he is gone. So eventually Jerry gets back and helps me get Max into the car. The kids are all upset, so thank our lucky stars they had the next best thing to us there for them. So they take our kids and clean up all the blood while we speed off to the doctors.
The whole car ride I get reminded of all the things I did wrong to cause this accident, lol. I felt so guilty. In the meantime, waiting in the ER, Max's parents show up for support. They are seriously so sweet. It was actually entertaining watching this cute old couple who have been married for 42 years banter in the middle of the ER. It was like a scene out of a movie seriously...I was cracking up. In the end nothing was broken...thank goodness! It was a really deep huge chunk out of his arms that needed 4 layers of stiches and a splint.
Now we are onto the next great dramatic thing this family of mine will do!!!
Oh and Max thinks we need to now practice on how to react in stressful situations. Very funny Max!
