Gracie's Surgery

I have no clue why I am up right now doing a post on this thing, I am literally falling asleep sitting up...LOL. I have been up all night going for wagon ride after wagon ride for my sick princess.
The surgery went really good, and it was so fast. Her tonsils were very large and her adenoids even larger. The doctor is curious to see if this takes away that little groggy voice of hers since they were so huge. I love her voice so I dont want it to go :( She had a way hard time waking up and of course I cried. Overall she is doing pretty good but we are only on day 1.
Grandma brought Grace a price doll before the surgery in the waiting room.

Way too happy to be having surgery...she had no clue what was coming :(

BEFORE PICTURE
Daddy & Granna
There were two other blonde hair, blue eyed little girls in the waiting room in matching jammies...they were so cute.
AFTER PICTURE

Daddy comes and saves the day with a tinkerbell hair doll & lots of loves!
Playing in her wagon...the wagon idea is the best idea EVER! She didn't get out of that thing. We went for walk after walk and it would put her to sleep. She loved it!

This girl would not go to sleep so daddy went and got warm milk. Well Gracie loves to pretend like she is a baby so Max got the nurse to get him a bottle for her. Then she begged and cried for me to wrap her up, stand up and hold her bottle so she can act like a baby. She was so huge it was so hard to hold her one handed! LOL

Gracie's Pre-Operating Class and some other happenings...

Gracie & I went up to Primary's for a pre- operating class they do for the little ones to get them familiar with everything they are going to do and see. It seriously was so good! The nurses were amazing with her and she took in so much even for being two. I think it is such an awesome idea to let them see what is coming so they aren't so caught off guard. She got to bring a doll home that she loves and all she has been talking about is the doctors things. So cute!
Gracie trying out the mask...

Working on her doll...playing doctor

Daddy was teasing her and was cracking up at the faces she was pulling...so he grabbed the camera and teased her and took pictures which made her even more upset. Can I say I have 3 kids???

Our Little Man Jade...aka Jayden Tyler Webster

My best friend finally had her little boy! She was a champ and pushed him right out in no time...well easy for me to say. But, she did do it with flying colors and a few hours after his arrival she was walking around and acting like she didn't just have a baby. If I ever have another one I have alot to live up too! I should've taken a picture of the toy box Gracie, and I made for the newest addition. I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. We love you Mand & Fam!!!

My Babies first surgery....SCARY

So this Thursday Gracie is going in to get her tonsils out. I know it is not a big surgery and usually they leave the same day. Gracie has to stay over night because of how far we live from Primary's. It still breaks my heart even thinking about her being in pain and being put under anesthia. I know it is for the best because of our horrible winter last year and this will save her from alot of pain in the future with being sick...it is still hard though :( Keep her in your prayers for us!

Our Little trip to the ER...my poor hubby

So we all know our life is never dull...as always we pulled through this weekend.
So the story goes...
On Friday night Max was getting ready to take Kelton bow hunting. Kelton was at the first Stansbury High football game (yes we have our very own High School, so exciting). Gracie had been doing so good that day and going potty like a big girl. I was getting her ready for bed and she tells me she has to go pee. So we go running into the bathroom and she starts to go...so I naturally start yelling for Max to come watch because he hadn't seen her do it yet. Well, in Max's words, I was screaming bloody murder. In my defense, peeing in the potty is a very exciting thing you know? Anyways, Max thinks something is wrong and he is downstairs so he starts running to come upstairs. Well I just put out a lovely new bamboo rug at the door at the bottom of the stairs...my lovely husband slips on the rug when he is running and runs into the door putting a huge hole into it. Then falls down. I hear him screaming that he broke is arm. So I leave Gracie on the potty and run down and there is blood EVERYWHERE! So this is where we get to the 3rd strike on myself. STRIKE 1:screaming bloody murder, STRIKE 2: putting the bamboo rug down, STRIKE 3: freaking out in a stressful situation. I couldn't stand the site of that much blood and I thought Max's bone was sticking out so I freaked out...I ran around in circles or did a chicken dance as Max called it. Then I picked up his phone and threw it? I Cant say I know why I did that either. Then I ran around the house screaming. So Kelton walks in and I go running outside to track down my brother in law to help me and he is gone. So eventually Jerry gets back and helps me get Max into the car. The kids are all upset, so thank our lucky stars they had the next best thing to us there for them. So they take our kids and clean up all the blood while we speed off to the doctors.
The whole car ride I get reminded of all the things I did wrong to cause this accident, lol. I felt so guilty. In the meantime, waiting in the ER, Max's parents show up for support. They are seriously so sweet. It was actually entertaining watching this cute old couple who have been married for 42 years banter in the middle of the ER. It was like a scene out of a movie seriously...I was cracking up. In the end nothing was broken...thank goodness! It was a really deep huge chunk out of his arms that needed 4 layers of stiches and a splint.
Now we are onto the next great dramatic thing this family of mine will do!!!
Oh and Max thinks we need to now practice on how to react in stressful situations. Very funny Max!
